At Bossy Pawz we believe in a balanced approach to dog training, one size does not fit all. What might work for one dog may not work for another. Our core belief is that there are no bad dogs, but a miscommunication between owner and pet. Our training methods are both results-oriented and novice-friendly, helping bridge the gap between what your dog is telling you and what you are interpreting. The training program itself will be held either in your home or at a designated training location where we can teach you the skills that both you and your dog will need in order to be successful. How It Works
Schedule Your Meet & Greet
Show us around! Meet and Greets in your home are a great way to show us where you keep your pet’s leash, food/water bowls, boots, treats, and everything we need to know about taking care of your Pal! Meet and Greets shouldn't take more than 20 minutes and are a great way to get to know your Walker or Sitter.
Create Profile & Schedule Services
Our online scheduling system makes booking services and making payments a seamless process. It's also a great tool to keep us informed of any changes with your pet or your home. We even have an app to stay connected!
Sit Back & Relax
Don’t stress! We are fully bonded and insured for your peace of mind. No need to take our word for it, we will provide documentation of both, just ask!

Obedience Training
Level 1: Basic: Heel, Sit, Down, Come, Stay, Leave It, Place, loose leash walking, socialization
Level 2: Intermediate: Intro to distractions, duration & distance commands (stay, down & sit), wait, stand
Level 3: Advanced: Reliable recalls & stays off-leash obedience & heeling in-motion commands
Puppy 101
If you have a puppy under 20 weeks old, you know how distressing the constant nipping, chewing, jumping, and housetraining accidents can be! We’ll help you solve these common puppy problems, plus introduce basic obedience skills so your puppy will have good manners right from the start. We can also assist with potty training and crate training.
Latch Key Training
Let’s face is it, between work, family, and life in general, time is hard to come by. Latch key training is the perfect option for busy, result-focused owners. We will come to your home and train your pup while you go about your busy life. It’s the closest thing to a dog training magic wand that there is. But, as a reminder, your dog is a living being and will require ongoing reinforcement and proper handling in order to maintain his trained behaviors. In order to address the human side of the equation, we will coach you and your dog as a team once a week in a transfer session.
Behavior Modification
Are you at the end of your rope with your dog’s behavior? We are experienced with serious behavior problems including fear, aggression, anxiety, leash reactivity to dogs and people, confidence issues, destructive behavior, housetraining issues, and more. Our behavior consultations include a professional assessment of your dog’s behavior and development of a detailed behavior change program. You will know exactly what changes to make immediately and what you’ll need to do in order to get your dog on the road to resolution.
Day Camp Training
Day school is for owners needing extra help establishing behaviors such as, basic obedience, leash walking, excitability, coming when called and much more. Your dog will be worked with on and off all day with a trainer. You will receive updates on how to implement their training at home and what was worked on during their stay. Day school takes place in a real home to help establish real home manners. Your dog will be worked out and about as well; parks and nearby areas. We pick up and drop off your dog (Owner to be present during pick up or drop off is optional). *Must be located within 15miles of Bolingbrook. Each additional 5 miles outside of Bolingbrook will incur an additional fee.
